A Former Mormon Missionary’s Powerful Testimony!

Shawn McCraney, the host of the Salt Lake City-based TV show Heart of the Matter, was a Mormon for 40 years until he got saved and found the true Christ while in the Mormon Church. The motto of his show is: Where Mormonism Meets Biblical Christianity Face to Face. Micah Wilder, the guest on the show, was a former Mormon missionary who had an amazing conversion experience to the Lord while serving as a Mormon missionary.

Watch both parts to this testimony!

Micah Wilder is one of 5 members of a band called Adam’s Road Band, which is a Christian gospel band. 4 out of the 5 members were former Mormon missionaries before they found the true Jesus Christ.

Their song “Enemy of the Cross” is powerful, describing their former life as Mormons, as well as describing their new faith in Christ. Follow along with the lyrics below the video pop-up!

A man once told me that I was like Saul, Trying to destroy the church of God (Gal. 3:13)

Persecuting the true disciples of Christ (Acts 9:1) And binding them in prison, blinding them to salvation (Acts 8:3, 9:2, 22:4)

I did not believe in the crossI thought I was in the light but I was in the dark I believed I was doing the work of God

Zealous in the way I was taught, I did not preach the cross (Gal. 3:14)

For to those who are perishing it’s foolishness to preach The message of the cross (1 Cor. 1:18)

I was told one day that I’d be like Paul, A great minister of the Word of God As Jesus put mud in the blinded man’s eyes (John 9:6)

My eyes were covered with mud, Yet I couldn’t see until I was washed by the Word of God (Eph. 5:26)

House after house I ravaged the Christians (Acts 8:3) Until I received a great revelation, Through God’s Word that I was opposing Him I became a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17)

For to those who are perishing, it’s foolishness to preach The message of the cross To those who are being saved, it is nothing less than the power of God Bringing salvation (1 Cor. 1:18)

There I was an enemy of the cross (Phil. 3:18) Now I bear the marks of Jesus, a minister of grace (Gal. 6:17; Acts 9:20)

If anyone rejects the cross they become Its enemy as I was, but those who accept it are being saved (1 Cor. 1:18)

I’ll rebuild what I once tore down And I’ll suffer for Jesus’ sake (Acts 9:16; Gal. 2:18)

For to those who are perishing it’s foolishness to preach The message of the cross

To those who are being saved it’s the power of God (1 Cor. 1:18) I’m no longer an enemy of the cross (Phil. 3:18)
