Mormonism: Native Americans Are Cursed With Dark Skin That May Turn White if They Convert

Mormon Prophet Harold B. Lee said the following:

“The Indians on the American continent are descendants of the tribes of Ephraim, Judah, and Manasseh, we are told by the Book of Mormon. (Omni 15-19; 1 Nephi 5:14-16.) Their dark skin was a curse put upon them because of their transgression, which in a day to come in their descendants will be lifted and they will become white and delightsome as they accept the Gospel and turn to the Lord (Harold B. Lee, Decisions for Successful Living, p. 167.)

This next one is quite saddening, disturbing, and shocking; it is an official statement from LDS President and Prophet Spencer W. Kimball. Present-day Native Americans are known as descendants of the Lamanites, who were supposedly the evil group of people in the Americas in the Book of Mormon. Listen to this LDS prophet speak:

“The day of the Lamanites is nigh. For years they have been growing delightsome, and they are now becoming white and delightsome, as they were promised. In this picture of the twenty Lamanite missionaries, fifteen of the twenty were as light as the Anglos; five were darker but equally delightsome. The children in the home placement program in Utah are often lighter than their brothers and sisters in the hogans on the reservation. At one meeting a father and mother and their sixteen-year-old daughter were present, the little member girl-sixteen-sitting between the dark father and mother, and it was evident she was several shades lighter than her parents-on the same reservation, in the same hogan, subject to the same sun and wind and weather. There was the doctor in a Utah city who for two years had had an Indian boy in his home who stated that he was some shades lighter than the younger brother just coming into the program from the reservation. These young members of the Church are changing to whiteness and delightsomeness. One white elder jokingly said that he and his companion were donating blood regularly to the hospital in the hope that the process might be accelerated.” (Spencer W. Kimball, Conference Reports, October 1960, p. 34.)

Did you read that? Can you actually believe that? This is coming from a General Conference Report from a Mormon prophet! This is unbelievably racist! Thinking that Native Americans who become Mormons have their skin color naturally change to white because they accept the LDS gospel? I don’t think so!

It amazes me that the LDS Church has so many members in Latin America, as the “cursed” Lamanites dwell there as well. Listen to this:

“Who are the Lamanites? The term Lamanite includes all Indians and Indian mixtures, such as the Polynesians, the Guatemalans, the Peruvians, as well as the Sioux, the Apache, the Mohawk, the Navajo, and others. It is a large group of great people.” (Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball, p. 596. See also “Of Royal Blood,” Ensign, July 1971, p. 7)

According to Mormonism, the Latin American and Native American populations today are cursed with dark skin, and that skin may become white if they convert to Mormonism. Why then, with millions of members, hasn’t the Latin American LDS population changed skin color if they are to become “white and delightsome” upon accepting the LDS gospel?

Something isn’t right here…

The God of the Bible would never curse anyone with a different skin color. God created all skin colors equal.

Seriousness about the Validity of Joseph Smith’s First Vision Account

God was not man

The very foundation of Mormonism centers on the supposed validity of the First Vision. The 2nd LDS prophet, Brigham Young, once stated:

“The doctrine that God was once a man and has progressed to become a God is unique to this Church.” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Brigham Young, 1997, p. 34.

How did Joseph Smith come up with the idea that God was a man? He claimed to have seen God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son in a vision back in 1820. Much emphasis is placed on the First Vision. If it did not happen, the LDS Church is in trouble. Hear LDS prophet Gordon B. Hinckley when he says the following:

“Our whole strength rests on the validity of that vision. It either occurred or it did not occur. If it did not, then this work is a fraud… upon that unique and wonderful experience stands the validity of this church.” (Gordon B. Hinckley, “The Marvelous Foundation of our Faith,” Ensign, (Conference Edition), November 2002, p. 80.

Also, Hinckley also mentioned something that sent chills up my spine when I read it for the first time.

“That becomes the hinge pin on which this whole cause turns. If the First Vision was true, if it actually happened, then the Book of Mormon is true. Then we have the priesthood. Then we have the Church organization and all of the other keys and blessings of authority which we say we have. If the First Vision did not occur, then we are involved in a great sham. It is just that simple. (Teachings of Gordon B. Hinckley, p. 227)

And also,

I would like to say that this cause is either true or false. Either this is the kingdom of God, or it is a sham and a delusion. Either Joseph talked with the Father and the Son, or he did not. If he did not, we are engaged in blasphemy. (Gordon B. Hinckley, Conference Reports, October 1961, p. 116)

Read this last quote:

“Every claim that we make concerning divine authority, every truth that we offer concerning the validity of this work, all finds its roots in the First Vision of the boy prophet.” (Teachings of Gordon B. Hinckley, p. 226) “If that opening of the curtain of light and knowledge which ushered in this, the dispensation of the fulness of times, is true, then all else which the Prophet taught is true also.” (Teachings of Gordon B. Hinckley, p. 226.)

So if the First Vision was true, then everything else that Joseph Smith taught is true. But what if Joseph Smith taught lies later in his life, false teachings, and lied about practicing polygamy? If he lied and did not teach true doctrine, then what does this say about the First Vision?

Joseph Smith even married eleven women who were currently married to other men. (Todd Compton, In Sacred Loneliness, p. 15)

Would you trust Joseph Smith around your family? Around your wife, and around your daughter? As i have a 15-month old daughter, there is no way i would want Joseph Smith around my daughter when she becomes a teenager, as Joseph Smith fancied teenage girls and married them. Here are the teenage girls’ names and ages when he married them:

  • Fanny Alger 16
  • Sarah Ann Whitney 17
  • Lucy Walker 17
  • Flora Ann Woodworth 16
  • Emily Dow Partridge 19
  • Sarah Lawrence 17
  • Maria Lawrence 19
  • Helen Mar Kimball 14
  • Melissa Lott 19
  • Nancy M. Winchester [14?]

Joseph Smith married 12 girls who were teenagers. Wow, that’s pretty disgusting to be honest with you. Would you invite Joseph Smith to your home for dinner around your family? There is no way Joseph Smith would see God the Father and the Son in a vision, claim to be a Prophet, the only man who held the keys on earth to God’s Kingdom, and treated sisters in Christ the way He did by marrying these girls.

Are you willing to stake your salvation in following a man whose ‘restoration’ of Christ’s church is all hinged on the supposed First Vision account?  A man who, given his ‘calling,’ acted on his lustful desires and had his life ended in the midst of it? I would rather find assurance in the only name under heaven by which we are saved, Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 says that men and women cannot be saved by any other name other than the name of Jesus Christ.

If you are a Latter-day Saint, read the quotes above from your prophet Gordon B. Hinckley. Does he sound 100% sure that his Church is teaching the truth? He absolutely leaves room for doubt when he gives the seriousness of what it would be if Mormonism was indeed false.

My brothers and sisters, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is engaged in blasphemy. Hinckley said that if the First Vision was true, then EVERYTHING Joseph Smith taught afterward is true. That is pretty dangerous.Since Joseph Smith taught so many false doctrines, lied about having any wives other than one, and engaged in blasphemy, this discounts the First Vision. Had Joseph Smith really had a First Vision, his life afterwards would have mirrored the life of Paul the apostle; a life set aside in purity and preaching the Cross of Christ (see 1 Corinthians 1).

Since Mormon prophets and Mormonism does not teach much of the Cross of Christ, it is foolishness to them, and is not true Christianity. 1 Corinthians 1:18 (NIV) says,

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

Think about it. Joseph Smith’s life was not lived preaching about the Cross of Christ, but a lengthy, burdensome, hard-to-follow life of contradictions and man-made commandments. Don’t be bogged down in that, find your freedom in the cross of Christ!

Was Joseph Smith “Sufficiently Humble?”

The Book of Mormon teaches the following in Alma 5:27-28:

“Have ye walked, keeping yourselves blameless before God? Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time, within yourselves, that ye have been sufficiently humble? That your garments have been cleansed and made white through the blood of Christ, who will come to redeem his people from their sins? Behold, are ye stripped of pride? I say unto you, if ye are not ye are not prepared to meet God. Behold ye must prepare quickly; for the kingdom of heaven is soon at hand, and such an one hath not eternal life.”

Taking a look at Joseph Smith’s life, was he humble, and did he really follow the words the book that came forth from his own hands?

Joseph Smith says the following about himself in 1844, very shortly before his death:

“I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet” (History of the Church, 6:408-409) “…how I do love to hear the wolves howl! When they can get rid of me, the Devil will go also.” (History of Joseph Smith, 672)

Think about that. What does it say, Latter-day Saints, when your founding prophet says about himself, “When [Latter-day Saints] can get rid of me, the Devil will go also?” This is highly significant, ironic, and highly prophetic? After all, words have powerful meaning, especially when spoken forth from the mouth. If Joseph Smith was dropped by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, then the Devil would leave. This is why the foundation of the LDS Church is built upon Joseph Smith, a man who had such pride. It is not the fact that he had pride that matters, because after all, all of us have had issues with pride at some point or another.

Sometimes we may have gone out into the world to make a name for ourselves instead of giving glory to the Lord God–this is pride. Joseph Smith’s unrepentant pride that boasted with such heresy is just like Herod in Acts 12:21-23 (NIV). In this story, it says the following:

On the appointed day Herod, wearing his royal robes, sat on his throne and delivered a public address to the people. They shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.

Joseph Smith gave a sermon in 1844, not long before his death, called the King Follett Discourse. This sermon is filled with blasphemy and heretical teachings about God in relation to man. Go online and read it sometime. After the sermon, a man named Joseph Fielding said this about Joseph Smith’s sermon:

“I never felt more delighted with his discourse than at this time. They said at his oration, it is the voice of a god not of a man.” (Journal of Joseph Fielding, quoted in “The King Follett Discourse: Joseph Smith’s Greatest Sermon in Historical Perspective”)

Notice how the people said of Joseph Smith the same way they spoke of Herod when they said that “it is the voice of a god and not of a man.” Wow! Can you believe that? Herod died of worms because he accepted what the people said. Joseph Smith died a few months after this sermon that was apparently the best sermon he ever preached, in the eyes of the Mormon people.

Mormons, think about what this really means. Joseph Smith’s blasphemy led to his death. Not a death of martyrdom as a hero of the faith, but as God’s letting us know that He will not tolerate a man blaspheming His name and poising ourselves as gods.

The Jews spent 40 years in the wilderness so they could be humbled (Deuteronomy 8:2).We learn in the Bible that before honor comes humility (Proverbs 15:33). Also, Jesus teaches us that if we do not humble ourselves, we will not be exalted. (Matthew 23:12).

We need to watch our pride so that we can come as a child to Jesus Christ, lest we think we are better than our Creator, lest we think that we can become a God.

We must always keep ourselves a humble spirit and a repentant heart. Start and end your day with those two things, for it will take you far in life!

Mormon Apostle Says Vegetables Have Spirits

LDS Apostle Orson Pratt made the following statements in 1853:

“The spirit of a vegetable is in the same image and likeness of its tabernacle, and of the same magnitude, for it fills every part thereof… If the spirit of an apple tree were rendered visible when separated from its natural tabernacle, it would appear in the form, likeness, and magnitude of the natural apple tree;… When the spiritual vegetable withdraws, the natural one decays and returns to its original elements; but its spirit, being a living substance, remains in its organized form, capable of happiness in its own sphere, and will again inhabit a celestial tabernacle when all things are made newwe are compelled to believe that every vegetable, whether great or small, has a living intelligent spirit capable of feeling, knowing, and rejoicing in its sphere.” (The Seer, pp. 33-34)

Elder Pratt continued, saying,

“When a world is redeemed from its fallen state, and made into a Heaven, all the animal creation are raised from the dead, and become celestial and immortal.  The food of these animals is derived from the vegetables, growing on a celestial soil; consequently, it is not converted into blood, but into spirit which circulates in the veins of these animals; therefore, their offspring will be spiritual bodies, instead of flesh and bones…

…when planted in a celestial soil, each vegetable derives its nourishment therefrom; and the fluid thus derived, circulates in the pores and cells of the vegetable tabernacle, and preserves it from decay and death; this same fluid, thus circulating, forms a spiritual vegetable; this differs from the parent vegetables in Heaven… Thus the spirits of both vegetables and animals are the offspring of male and female parents which have been raised from the dead, or redeemed from a fallen condition, with the world upon which they dwelt.” (Ibid, pp.37-38)

Elder Pratt continues in The Seer, by saying,

“Admitting the eternity of the capacities, then the materials of which our spirits are composed, must have been capable of thinking, moving, willing… before they were organized in the womb of the celestial female… If they were once organized in the vegetable kingdom, and then disorganized by becoming the food of celestial animals, and then reorganized in the form of the spirits of animals which is a higher sphere of being, then, is it unreasonable to suppose that the same particles have, from all eternity, been passing through an endless chain of unions and disunions, organizations and disorganizations, until at length they are permitted to enter into the highest and most exalted sphere of organization in the image and likeness of God? A transmigration of the same particles of spirits from a lower to a higher organization, is demonstrated from the fact that the same particles exist in a diffused scattered state, mingled with other matter; next, they exist in a united form, growing out of the earth in the shape of grass, herbs, and trees; and after this, these vegetables become food for celestial animals, and these same particles are organized into their offspring, and thus form the spirits of animals. Here then, is apparently a transmigration of the same particles of spirit from an inferior to a superior organization, wherein their condition is improved, and their sphere of action enlarged. Who shall set any bounds to this upward tendency of spirit?… who shall say that it will not progress until it shall gain the very summit of perfection… the image of God? (The Seer, pp. 102-103)

According to a Mormon apostle, vegetables are capable of happiness, joy, and feeling and knowing things, there are such thing as spiritual vegetables, and the spirits of vegetables came from its male and female parents in Heaven which have been raised from the dead. Also, he suggests that the spirits of vegetables can be exalted into the highest sphere of organization and made into the likeness of God! Blasphemy! Men and women are the only creatures made in the likeness of God. (Genesis 1:26-27) Also, this Mormon apostle suggests that when vegetables become food for celestial animals, they thus form the spirits of animals. Then, they will gain the “summit of perfection… the image of God.” This is incredibly erroneous. The LDS First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles are considered to be prophets. Orson Pratt was a false prophet. Whether this was just his opinion or whether he taught this as doctrine, there is no excuse for it, because when a false doctrine is started (from Joseph Smith), these are the appendages and weird doctrinal offspring that comes from false doctrine, as the philosophical doctrine of hylozoism. This doctrine, which Pratt embraced, was the belief that matter was living.

When someone teaches false doctrine, then more false doctrine comes forth from it that gets weirder and weirder.

The Seer, where these teachings come from, was an official periodical publication of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Seer ceased after only 18 issues. Many in the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve found some of Apostle Orson Pratt’s teachings to be controversial, and stated the following in Deseret News:

The Seer [and other writings by Pratt] contain doctrines which we cannot sanction, and which we have felt impressed to disown, so that the Saints who now live, and who may live hereafter, may not be misled by our silence, or be left to misinterpret it. Where these objectionable works, or parts of works, are bound in volumes, or otherwise, they should be cut out and destroyed.” (Deseret News, Aug. 23, 1865, p. 373)

If the First Presidency got rid of The Seer, then why did he remain an apostle of the LDS Church until his death in 1881? Why did they let him become the official Church Historian and Recorder from 1874 until his death? If a false apostle and prophet such as Orson Pratt was leading people astray in some ways, why would the LDS Church keep him on board in official positions of authority?

There are serious problems here. Following Joseph Smith’s teachings can twist and turn those into new false teachings, something that the leadership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints cannot discern.

Who Visited Joseph Smith, the Angel Moroni or the Angel Nephi?

During his mortal life, Joseph Smith wrote a series of volumes of history of the LDS Church, called History of the Church. The LDS Church today says that the angel Moroni visited Joseph Smith in the 1820’s, but Joseph Smith first published in the History of the Church that it was an angel named “Nephi” that appeared to him. In LDS Church publication Times and Seasons volume 3, p. 753, it records Joseph Smith as saying, “He called me by name and said… that his name was Nephi.” In modern readings of History of the Church, volume 1, p. 11, it now reads “He called me by name, and said… that his name was Moroni…

Joseph Smith never changed it from Nephi to Moroni in his lifetime. The name Nephi was also published in the 1851 version of the Pearl of Great Price.

In the  Book of Mormon storyline, Nephi is Lehi’s son, who is the first among the fictitious Nephite civilization on the American continent. Moroni was the last of the Nephites, who supposedly buried the golden plates which Joseph Smith claimed to have dug up in 1827.

There is a problem here with these changes. If Joseph Smith really saw Moroni, then why did he write down that he saw Nephi? If he did see Nephi, why do Mormons now believe that it was Moroni? Why did LDS Apostle Orson Pratt have “Nephi” changed to “Moroni” in the 1878 version of the Pearl of Great Price? These are shaky items in Mormonism’s founding. If Joseph Smith saw Moroni, why didn’t he change the name Nephi in the Times and Seasons? After all, Joseph Smith oversaw what was written in those articles. This casts serious doubt into Joseph Smith’s testimony and story, as well as his credibility as a prophet of God.

Last fall in the LDS Church’s General Conference, Elder Neil L. Andersen, a current Mormon apostle, stated in his October 2015 General Conference Speech entitled, “Faith is Not by Chance, but by Choice”:

“For example, questions concerning the Prophet Joseph Smith are not new. They have been hurled by his critics since this work began. To those of faith who, looking through the colored glasses of the 21st century, honestly question events or statements of the Prophet Joseph from nearly 200 years ago, may I share some friendly advice: For now, give Brother Joseph a break!”

Really? We should give Joseph Smith a break? Joseph Smith claimed to be a prophet, and Mormons hold him in esteem as a great prophet like unto Moses, yet he had dozens of failed prophecies and moral failures that he denied, so we should most definitely take a look at Joseph Smith’s claims! When we take a look at Joseph Smith’s claims, we realize that what Joseph said and prophesied does not hold any water.

Latter-day Saints, let’s take our eyes off of Joseph and onto Jesus, the only name under heaven by which we are saved!

There Will Be Another Great ‘Shaking’ in The United States of America That God Allows

The following will not be a popular article and message, but is very important for those who are curious as to why The United States of America has been going through the affliction that it has.

Every day is another opportunity to live towards your goals, to see the fruits of your labor. Part of the fruits in one’s life is the words that are put forth from your mouth.

In my entire life, I have never seen such hopelessness, despair, sadness, depression, and looks of anxiety from people in the world when I am out and about in public, especially here in Minnesota. People up here like to say that this part of the United States does better than other regions such as the South because we’re more advanced, “progressive”, and that we live in a more tech-savvy environment; one that harbors some of the “best” schools to go to. Yet the culture and social attitudes and positions of the society of the United States has gotten extremely debased and unnatural, filled with a vehemently dangerous lack of morals, and has taken a 180-degree turn from biblical morals and sound doctrine.

People constantly lock their doors to everything. People turn to look around their shoulder in case someone is behind them, afraid of the worst. Yet there is a numbness that has enveloped the minds and hearts of the people of this nation.

When we pass laws in this Christian-founded nation that go against Scripture, such as abortion, same-sex marriage, allowing homosexuals in leadership positions in the Boy Scouts and in the military, support Palestinian independence while back-stabbing the State of Israel, we need to wake up, and wake up now. We are living in a country where advocacy groups think that a person can actually change genders (even though God has uniquely designed us to be a certain gender and sex and that truly cannot be changed), pouring us into a genderless society where men are emasculated, dumbed down, and underrated and militant feminism is rampant. Women who think they are men want to use men’s restrooms, and men who think they are women want to use women’s restrooms. Are you kidding me?! We need to get back to the Bible, because we need to see where our identity lies!

If you buy a lawnmower and try using it without reading the owner’s manual, you may run into some problems. If you don’t clean it, grass can dry out in the underbelly and may take extra repair to scrape it out. If you don’t put the necessary gas and oil mixture into it, engine problems can occur. So, you would pick up the owner’s manual to see how to solve the problem.

You can relate this to our lives as well! God made us, and if we are having issues with how we should live and act in this life, we need to consult the Holy Bible! People who are questioning their gender or sexual orientation or even their anger, jealousy, or trying to quit their drinking habits need to go the manual of life, which is the Bible! When we don’t do that, then that’s why we have a society that thinks anything goes and a society that is constantly offended at everything! When we don’t engage with the Word of God, our manual of life, then society gets really twisted! And even worse, abominations start to infiltrate churches, which they already have in some churches through the country.

We have to be in support of Israel and its leader, Benjamin Netanyahu. There is a reason why we should not make any deals with Iran or enemies of Israel. Church, please wake up, this is a message to you. The world and unbelievers may read this article and say its hogwash. Some laidback church-goers may say that this article is “controversial,” but you know what? The gospel itself is controversial and gets people offended! If I was just a person that went to church on Easter and Christmas and didn’t really live out a Christian life even though I told people I was a Christian, I would not be a threat to the enemy, the Devil. But if I was engaged in a walk with the Lord, expecting His Second Coming and living a righteous life, I would be a threat to the enemy. I would also be scolded by people as “holier than thou,” “judgmental,” a “bigot,” and “hateful.” If they want to judge, let them, because I stand by the Word, and by my God, who is the Living God of the universe!

To the Christian church in America, we need to wake up! Where there are huge revivals in South America with tens of thousands of people in attendance, people barely get up to go to church here in the United States or no longer attend. Why? We have become numb and calloused in this country, afraid to step on people’s toes in the name social tolerance and coexistence. How tolerant was Jesus Christ of the lifestyle of the Pharisees and Sadducees? How much did Jesus care about the woman caught in the adultery? He had compassion on her, yet He told her, “Go and sin no more!” (John 8) Today’s watered down message that some churches have is “Go, and live how you want! Be the best you!” But we are not really the center of things, God is. We don’t want to bring up sin because it gets us uncomfortable. But we should. The American church at large is not even a threat to the enemy, because so many churches have lost the power of the Holy Spirit and gained a gluttonous life of self-want and cautiousness.

To some Christians who have become passive and lax in their walk with God, this message will seem crazy. After all, their view of anyone saying anything about the end-times or Jesus returning is movie clips from the movies Armageddon or Independence Day. Or even a homeless man holding a cardboard sign that says “The end is near.” Or they might think of the televangelist who wants your money for his own personal gain, or Jim Jones, the cult leader who rallied his own people to commit suicide in the jungle. My advice to you is, start getting in the Bible, start getting yourselves back to church, socialize with Christians, reach the lost, be understanding of those who are hurting, and REALLY start listening when Christian leaders around the country and the world are saying the same things. And what are they saying? That we need to wake up, because America needs to repent, side with Israel, and prepare for Christ’s return.

Israel will never officially be divided between 2 nations. The U.N. may raise a Palestinian flag, but Israel will one day gain all territory from the Nile River to the Euphrates River, so that will include parts of Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan, and the northern parts of Saudi Arabia (Genesis 15:18). God gave this land to Israel as a “permanent possession” (Genesis 13:15).

God’s people are the Jews, and look how blessed they have been! Also, since they were God’s people, look at how he corrected them when they strayed from Him! God had severe judgments on His own people! Now since Israel is the only nation on earth that God has entered a covenant with and the USA is the only nation on earth that has entered into a covenant with God, that means that the Lord will deal with this nation based on our founding covenant with the Lord!

This is why when we turned our backs on God by putting evolution into schools, banning prayer from schools, and legalizing abortion, why do you think society has been the way it has in the past 40 years? Society really is not progressing, it has been digressing ever since Adam and Eve fell. Christ redeemed us from the fall if we believe in Him, but society is going downhill. That might sound depressing, but we need to keep realizing that Jesus Christ is our hope and salvation in this world of turmoil!

The liberal, left-wing movement for “progress” and “moving forward” and being “progressive” in our worldview is actually contrary to biblical notions of anthropology and how the timeline of this world will end. You see, God created time. He is outside of time, yet He comes into time to deal with us. So we are on this timeline which is not lateral, but cyclical. That is why history moves in cycles, in a circular motion. The Scripture says, “That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9)

We need to see people coming to their knees in prayer asking for forgiveness, because people in this country wanted “CHANGE” back in 2008, but they really do not know what they were asking for. The change we had gotten is not a good change. Again, I will say this, the change we received was not a good change. We are heading the wrong direction as a nation, but there is good news: we can repent!

Listen to what pastors and Christian leaders have been saying about what is going on! There are several amazing leaders to really pay attention to about what the Lord is doing in these last days: Perry Stone, Rick Renner, Bill Cloud, Mark Casto, Jonathan Cahn, and several others.

The 9/11 attacks were very grievous, and it woke America up to the dangers of radical Islam. This attack was indeed a sign from the Lord to wake this great nation up. What happened afterwards as a result? The nation united in bi-partisan ways for a few months, and then carried on in its sin, and has since spiraled down a funnel of depravity. Under President George W. Bush, our nation was given a season of grace in which there was a hindrance and delaying of further attacks, and when he left office and President Obama rose to power, the delay was lifted in the spiritual realm, and that is why our military presence in Iraq happened, because that is the center of the past empires of Bible history that were anti-Israel, such as Babylon, Persia, and Assyria. That is why everything is going on in that part of the world, and why ISIS has arisen there. They are trying to form an Islamic caliphate, the final one, to overthrow Israel and to allow their Mahdi to step up into power. Once he does, he will set up his headquarters in the Syria/Iraq area in the fertile crescent, and then once Israel disarms after they defeat Iran and other nations who try to preemptively attack them, the Madhi, known to Christians as the Antichrist, will move his headquarters into Jerusalem.

What will he do there? People, read your Bibles. The Jews will rebuilt the Third temple during the Great Tribulation period and it will take three and one half years to complete. Yes, the Dome of the Rock mosque is near the temple mount, but the exact location of where the Jewish temple was built was just north of the Dome of the Rock, and the next Jewish temple will be built there, on higher ground. The False Prophet and Antichrist will place an image made of hands on the altar of the Jewish temple before the Jews can dedicate it and they will make the image actually speak, which will be a false sign to the people. This is the abomination of desolation, which Jesus speaks of (Matthew 24:15-16).

I have been studying the last days since I was about 12, and have studied under Bible scholars since that time, so there have been years of learning that I have done. Much of this may be new to you who are reading this, but as you start to learn and study, you will uncover amazing information!

Church, listen up: there is coming a great shaking to this country in the near future. The San Bernardino attacks and Paris attacks have occurred, there have been mass shootings off the charts to the point where it seems like its a daily occurrence, and there have been hurricanes and crazy weather all over the place! Heat waves, blizzard storms in Mississippi and Alabama, and ice storms ravaging and targeting Washington, DC. Even Hurricane Sandy was a heads up to this country that shook the Northeast, God’s way of saying, “Hey, come on, repent and turn from your wicked ways!” If you don’t believe it, look at how God dealt with nations who turned their backs on Him! This is not just Old Testament jargon, this is reality. You see, we are living in God’s Dispensation of Grace right now until Christ raptures up His Church. The reason why we saw so many visible judgments over nations during Old Testament times were because this dispensation didn’t yet begin. The reason why there are selective judgments now rather than full-scale ones are because we are still in the dispensation of grace! This is why after the rapture of the church, the Great Tribulation will start and God will pour out his overall judgments on the nations.

Part of this judgment is waking up the nation in order to turn ourselves back to God! Judgment is not just a fire and brimstone sounding message, but it is waking us up to the truth so we can live a life for Jesus Christ! In the Church, we often want messages that will tickle our ears, something that’s so basic that it will not change us when we leave the service. I don’t want to sit there in the pews and just hear a good message, I want to leave being changed and woken up to God’s ways and be convicted of something so that I can change and continually turn back to God!

God will allow something to happen to our nation soon in the future that the believers will discern as a wake-up call, and the unbelievers will largely pass it by as just a ‘happening.’ This will be on such a scale that believers will wake up and unite like never before. God is not done with the United States of America. There was a remnant in Sodom, Lot’s family, who prayed for the city and God said he wouldn’t destroy the city if he found a 10 righteous. In Noah’s day, his family was the remnant that was saved before the flood, and in America, we have more born-again believers in this nation than just one family or just ten people, so as long as there is a Christian remnant in this nation who know how to pray in the spirit, this nation still has a chance to return to God! 2 Chronicles 7:14 boldy says, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

God can heal the United States from problems that we got ourselves into. We need to just repent! Our nation’s natural borders are not secure, and that only happened when our nation’s spiritual hedge of protection came down. There will be a major increase of attacks in this nation, whether terrorist-related, weather-related, or a disintegration from within, unless the Christians in this nation start to pray. The presidential elections of 2016 cannot change this effect. They may be able to change some laws for the better, but the spiritual damage has been done on this nation, and we need to repent. We need to start standing up as Christians. We no longer have freedom of speech in this nation, because those who speak their minds as Christians are often harassed or labeled as bigots, and the day is coming when Christians and Christian pastors will be arrested and put in jail or prison in this nation for taking a biblical stance on issues. Just look at what has already happened to Christians throughout the world. Many Christians throughout the world in other nations are persecuted with threats of death, but in this nation, the enemy will try to silence us by the laws that are passed. Mark my words, this nation is unique, and God will divide the sheep from the goat nations. (Matthew 25:32) We must be a nation that supports Israel, as we were the first to recognize Israel’s independence and sovereignty. Start reading your Bibles more and more and you’ll see the pieces of the puzzle being put together and you’ll be able to get the revelation of the times and seasons we are living in. We know our place in church history. Study the 7 churches of Asia in the book of Revelation. The 7 churches also represent the 7 periods of church history since Christ, and Laodicea is the final period, which we are no living in… Read what Christ says about that church:

Revelation 3:14-22 says:

“To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:

These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

The period of Church history we are in is the Laodicean one, and notice how there are no more periods of church history mentioned after that, meaning, Christ will come back soon! This is why we really are in the last days! If we fail to believe in the Second Coming of Christ, we become scoffers and mockers of His coming. (See 2 Peter 3:1-13)

God is not done with this nation, we have a country to pray for, Church, and it starts with you! We are living in the days of the Church being lukewarm, we are neither hot nor cold, we are just trying to get by in life by not being on either side, but we cannot be lukewarm, Church, we need to be the Church of Jesus Christ, because the Church is the “Ekklesia,” in Koine Greek this means, “called out ones.” So, Church, let’s be the called out ones, being called out from the world to be different, to follow the Word of God and be an influence to the world around us. Remember, fellow believers, it starts with you, and be encouraged with this message, for it is not a message of fear, but of exhortation and encouragement; in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Martin Harris: Unreliable Book of Mormon Witness

I am going to be traveling to Palmyra, New York this coming July to do outreach at the Hill Cumorah Pageant, and looked up a few Mormon historical sites to visit while I’m there. While visiting the official LDS website,, I found a site known as the Martin Harris Farm. Located in Palmyra, New York, where Mormonism’s founding was located, the farm was home to Martin Harris, one of the three “witnesses” to the Book of Mormon.

martin harris

Visit the link here:    The interesting thing about this is that it says the following under the picture of the Martin Harris Farm:

“Martin Harris was very influential in the early days of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was known as “an honorable and upright man, and an obliging and benevolent neighbor.” He faithfully served his community in many appointed capacities, and through his industry and integrity, he became a respected and prosperous farmer.”

This comes from an OFFICIAL website of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That should say a lot and speak volumes. Okay, so it says how credible Martin Harris was and how they say he was full of integrity?

Joseph Smith said in Doctrine and Covenants 3:12-13 that Martin Harris was a “wicked man.” Martin Harris even changed his religious beliefs and orientation eight times during the time he was settled in Kirtland, Ohio:

“The foregoing tendencies explain the spiritual wanderlust that afflicted the solitary witness at Kirtland. In this period of his life, he changed his religious position eight times,… Every affiliation of Martin Harris was with some Mormon group, except when he was affiliated with the Shaker belief…”  (Improvement Era, March 1969, p. 63)

The Kirtland period was just a few years after the Book of Mormon was published. Jerald and Sandra Tanner mention in Major Problems of Mormonism (p. 145) that “Mormon writer E. Cecil McGavin admitted that,

‘Martin Harris was an unaggressive, vacillating, easily influenced person who was no more pugnacious than a rabbit… His conviction of one day might vanish and be replaced by doubt and fear before the setting of the sun. He was changeable, fickle, and puerile in his judgment and conduct.” (The Historical Background for the Doctrine and Covenants, p. 23, as cited in an unpublished manuscript by LaMar Petersen.)'”

G.W. Stodard, a Palmyra resident who knew Martin Harris for over thirty years, testified of Harris by saying,

“Although he possessed wealth, his moral and religious character was such, as not to entitle him to respect among his neighbors… He was first an orthodox [sic] Quaker, then a Universalist, next a Restorationer, then a Baptist, next a Presbyterian, and then a Mormon.” (Mormonism Unveiled, 1834, pp. 260-261; Quoted in Tanner, Major Problems of Mormonism, 145)

Martin Harris’ wife even said that he had “mad-fits,” and even Mormons at the time declared that he had “fits of monomania.” (Major Problems of Mormonism, 145). Mormons admitted that when Martin Harris came to England, “a lying deceptive spirit” came with him. The Tanners explain that “Harris’ wife stated that Mormonism had made him ‘more cross, turbulent, and abusive to me.'” (Ibid)

The website is wrong about Martin Harris. In the July 2012 issue of Ensign, the LDS Church’s official magazine, it says on pg. 60 in the article entitled, The Life of Martin Harris: Patterns of Humility and Repentance, that after the Book of Mormon was printed, “Martin served faithfully through the coming years.” This is not accurate as seen above.

Here is another account of Martin Harris:

“Once while reading scripture, he reportedly mistook a candle’s sputtering as a sign that the devil desired him to stop. Another time he excitedly awoke from his sleep believing that a creature as large as a dog had been upon his chest, though a nearby associate could find nothing to confirm his fears. Several hostile and perhaps unreliable accounts told of visionary experiences with Satan and Christ, Harris once reporting that Christ had been poised on a roof beam.” Ronald W. Walker, “Martin Harris: Mormonism’s Early Convert,”Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought 19 (Winter 1986): 34-35.

And the list goes on. There is even a pro-LDS pageant display about the life of Martin Harris in the Clarkston Pageant, held in Utah during the month of August. I cannot rely on the testimony of Martin Harris, a man who vouched for the Book of Mormon when it first came out. Why not? Well, why would a witness to the Book of Mormon who verified its significance leave for other churches and religious sects if the Book of Mormon was really true? Why did the other witnesses leave as well?

Even though Martin Harris claimed to have seen the golden plates of the Book of Mormon, he says he did not see them with his natural eyes, but with “spiritual eyes,” meaning, only “in vision or imagination.” (Jesse Townsend to Phineas Stiles, 24 December 1833, in Vogel 1996-2003, 3: 22; Stephen Burnett to Lyman E. Johnson, 15 April 1838, in Vogel 1996-2003, 2: 291)

Martin Harris’ witness and testimony cannot be trusted; he was an unstable man, and not capable of being trustworthy for a testimony of the coming forth of the Book of Mormon.

The disheartening thing is this: the first quote in my article from says that Martin Harris was and “honorable and upright man…” but this is not the case.

Reflections of Joseph Smith on His Birthday

Today marks the 210th birthday of Joseph Smith, if he was still alive. Born on December 23, 1805 in Sharon, Vermont, died at the young age of 38.

Jesus, our Lord and Savior, outlined how we can tell if someone is a false prophet. Matthew 7:15-20 (NKJV) states:

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Notice how Jesus does not say, “You will know them by their miracles,” (because even false teachers and the Anti-Christ will perform false signs and miracles), 2 Thessalonians 2:9. Notice again how Jesus does not say, “You will know them by their confession,” (because there will be people who claim that their are a Christian just by saying, ‘Oh yeah, I’m a Christian,’ but as Christ says, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21, NIV) It is vitally important that we DO have a confession of our faith however, because as the Bible teaches, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9) Notice again how Jesus does not say, “You will know them by their spiritual gifts.” There will obviously be people who come around and claim to get prophecies from Jesus and claim to see Him. The Bible is very clear when it says that we are to test all prophecies AND to hold onto those which are good! (1 Thessalonians 5:21).

We must judge righteously, and we know that we can see the fruit of people’s lives. And if we can tell what fruit a person has, we can tell what kind of roots the tree has. And if we can tell what kind of roots the tree has (if they are rotten or not), then we can tell what kind of tree it is. The fruit of a person’s life is shown forth with the manifestations of love, a life of humbleness and forgiveness, as well as a meekness that transcends the most difficult situations.

Mormonism is a tree with good and bad fruit, hence, it is essentially a tree of bad fruit. Why? No tree can produce both good and bad fruit. What Mormonism does is it has a positive view of the Fall of Adam and Eve. Mormonism teaches that Adam and Eve are to be honored for transgressing and selecting the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The late LDS prophet Joseph Fielding Smith stated that “The fall of man came as a blessing in disguise, and was the means of furthering the purposes of the Lord in the progress of man, rather than a means of hindering them.” (Doctrines of Salvation, 1:114)

Think about this: If the fall of Adam and Eve came as a means of furthering the purposes of mankind, as Joseph Fielding Smith stated, then that means that God created Adam and Eve without all the essentials they needed to live perfect lives in an already-perfect paradise if they needed to transgress God’s law in order to gain something beyond God’s giving of something. In other words, they needed something of Satan. Think about this as well: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only denomination (whether Christian or non-Christian) that employs Satan in its ritual (for example, video-dramas during temple initiation have Satan as a character talking with Adam and Eve, Satan even talks with the Apostle Peter in the Garden in the drama). Here is a link by an undercover Mormon whose YouTube name is NewNameNoah, and he filmed the temple ceremony with the video so you can see it:

That tree was named “Tree of Knowledge of good AND evil” because it was a tree of mixed fruit. Eve could have had knowledge of both categories, and she picked that because it looked good on the outside. The shadowing irony is that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that tree, and it has that view of Adam and Eve’s fall. What the Mormon Church essentially does is it takes upon itself both good and evil, which in essence, is evil.  You cannot mix evil with good; if you try, they will polarize like trying to mix oil and water. They cannot mix.

The fruit of Joseph Smith is his life of lies, lust, deceit, pride, and misleading ‘scriptures.’ When Joseph Smith stands before the Throne of God at the White Throne Judgment, he will have to give an account for his deeds, which are still affecting and infecting millions of people today. The fruit from his life is rotten at the core because of so many reasons.

The Bible teaches us that teachers will receive a stricter judgment. James 3:1 (NIV) says, “Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.”

I admire Joseph Smith for several reasons, such as his youthful personality. He had great energy, persuasion, and talents. Had Joseph Smith asked for forgiveness for his adultery, deceiving people with the Book of Mormon and the dozens of failed prophecies in the Doctrine and Covenants, he could have been another Jonathan Edwards. Joseph Smith could have been a great evangelical Christian preacher in the 19th century. Had he truly known what a born-again experience looked like and had preached the true gospel, not a different gospel preached by a fallen angel (Galatians 1:8-9), he would have been ranked in the hall of great Christian leaders. He loved children and family, yet his sins were grievous, and his lifestyle was not that of a true prophet. There is no way I could revere a man as a prophet in these last days, except that man be Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul makes it very clear in Hebrews 1:1-2 that God’s final word to mankind is His Son, Jesus Christ. In these passages, it states, “In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.” In the past, God spoke through the prophets, but now, Jesus Christ is our modern-day prophet, High Priest, and King. Obviously God still speaks to us through His Word, the Bible, His Word, the Son, and His Word, the spoken word of revelation to our human spirits.

I am not willing to have my eternity hand in the balance of following a different gospel, a different name other than the name of Jesus Christ. For Mormonism teaches that Joseph Smith is the linchpin between life on earth and life in heaven. LDS Prophet Brigham Young taught on July 13, 1862, “…he that confesseth not that Jesus has come in the flesh and sent Joseph Smith with the fulness of the Gospel to this generation, is not of God, but is anti-christ” (Journal of Discourses, 9:312).

When we read the Bible, we learn that “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12, NIV)  We must trust in Jesus Christ, and trust that He and His name is enough for our salvation. If Jesus and His wholeness and holiness  makes us whole and holy, how could there be room for any other name?

On this day, we must disregard the name of Joseph Smith and revere the Prophet and Savior, Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God, and who is guiding us in these latter days! Amen.

Marriage is Only Between One Man and One Woman

Latter-Day Sense Ministry focuses not only on the lies of Mormonism as  a deceptive organization in these last days, but chronicles other topics that God’s Church needs to be aware of while living in these latter days so that we can be pure, hungry for the Lord, and ready for His pending return.

Jesus compares His own return to 2 different time periods in Old Testament history, the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37), and the days of Sodom. Luke 17:22-30 (NKJV) says:

“Then He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. 23 And they will say to you, ‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’ Do not go after them or follow them. 24 For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day. 25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

People went about their business in the days of Noah, eating, drinking, and marrying, and giving in marriage as if life went on, going about their daily routines, not realizing that the flood was going to come. Noah was a preacher of righteousness. He warned the people, but they didn’t listen. (Sounds like modern times, doesn’t it?) After the waters subsided from the flood in Noah’s day, God placed a rainbow in the sky to be a symbol of a covenant that God would never destroy the world again by water. (Hence the reason why we do not need to worry about global warming and a global flooding).

The symbol of the rainbow is beautiful, but it has been twisted by its usage by the homosexual community. The reason why homosexuality needs to be addressed is because we are to flee from sexual immorality. People may say, “Yeah, but, you act as if homosexuality is worse than stealing a car,” or something of that nature. Well, sin is sin, but as Paul states in 1 Corinthians 6:18 (NIV), “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.” Therefore, sexual sins hold a dangerous weight that are grievous to one’s self and hold a depth that other sins do not.

Isn’t it interesting that the days of Christ’s return are marked as being like the days of Noah? We have preachers of righteousness nowadays who are saying that we need to repent and get right with the Lord, but the majority of society today has been straying away from what the Bible teaches and what pastors and Bible teachers are saying about the truth. Isn’t it also interesting that the symbol of the rainbow was used by God in Noah’s day and that it is now being used in a twisted way in these days? The times today are like Noah’s day?… Most definitely! Also, the men in Noah’s day had a lot of pride, and pride is the number one word used to describe people who have this lifestyle nowadays, whether it is used in rallies or parades. This is why the rainbow flag mocks God’s covenants, even though it is seen by them as just a sign of their lifestyle’s pride. We as Christians need to take back the symbol of the rainbow, because it was our God’s to start with, so we truly own the rainbow as the symbol of our God and His covenant of not destroying the earth again with water!

Read Luke 17:28-30. People were going about business in the days of Lot in Sodom, selling land, building buildings, going about their lives, all the while living in sin, which was considered normal to the people of Sodom. (Sounds like nowadays too)! The homosexual acts were so gravely sickening, even in the days of Lot that when 2 angels of the Lord were hiding in Lot’s house and those perverted men in Sodom came pounding on Lot’s door wanting to have homosexual relations with those angels, Lot even offered those men his virgin daughters instead because of how sickening their wants and desires really were.

We are to love the homosexual person, but hate the sin. Isn’t that cliché? Well, maybe, but maybe not. I’ve heard people say, “Yeah, but that was forbidden in the Old Testament, and we are in the new covenant and since Jesus came, we are to love people and it is okay if they practice homosexuality.” What they don’t understand is that the warnings against homosexuality are mentioned more under the new covenant in the New Testament than in the old! The only difference is that if two men or two women had relations with each other in the Old Testament, they were sentenced to die, but under the new covenant, they can be forgiven and God can change them so that they can have freedom from their bondage! (See Leviticus 20:13)

The apostle Paul states in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11:

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor [f]effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.”

Psychology clinics, many of them now (even some Christian ones), do not let their practitioners teach conversion therapy, meaning, to counsel a person struggling with homosexuality to overcome it, which is sad because people CAN overcome it! I personally know of 9 people that have, and they are out there, and there are many of them. Paul says “such WERE some of you, but you were washed, you were sanctified, and justified…” So there were people in the church at Corinth who WERE homosexuals but they were now set free! Paul goes on to say, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

Read what Paul says in Romans 1:18-32 very carefully:

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.”

Wow. This is powerful. Not only those who do such acts are deserving of death, but those who approve of those who practice them! Isn’t it interesting how different America is now than it was, say, 15-20 years ago? In only a 10-year period of time, public opinion has shifted on marriage, which should raise many red flags. In the end times, which we are living in, we are going to see things like this, things my Christian grandparents have told me they never even thought would be possible to happen.

If Jesus wanted homosexual marriage, he would have sanctified and honored it. But he not only didn’t but would never have done so because when he talks about marriage in Matthew 19:4-6, he says:  “Have you not read that He Who made them in the first place made them man and woman? It says, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will live with his wife. The two will become one.’ So they are no longer two but one. Let no man divide what God has put together.”

There is no way that a man and another man or a woman and another woman can become one flesh. Why? Because they are the same flesh! When God made Eve for Adam in Genesis, the word “helpmate” means a “help-opposite,” not, “help-same.” Meaning, same-sex marriage is not an option, nor is their really such thing as same-sex marriage. There is just marriage. And marriage is just between a man and a woman. That is simply how God designed it! Look at our emotions and souls. A man’s was clearly meant for a woman, and a woman’s for a man. Look at our anatomy. A man’s body was not meant to be with another man. It does not work. If you try to make it, damage and disease occurs with the body. A man and a woman are the only combination that compliment each other so perfectly, so much so that even Agur says in Proverbs 30:18-19,

“There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand: the way of an eagle in the sky, the way of a snake on a rock, the way of a ship on the high seas, and the way of a man with a young woman.”

Meaning, the way a man and a woman share intimacy was too amazing AND too mysterious for this Old Testament proverb writer to understand. If homosexuality was the right thing, then why isn’t Christ’s Church known as the Groom of Christ, if Christ is the Husband? This is not the case! Christ is the Husband and His Church (us) is His Bride!!!

President Ronald Reagan rightly stated that, “If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”

Legalizing homosexual marriage in this nation was the wrong thing for the Supreme Court to do, and it was dangerous. Why? Because marriage is a covenant, and when a government of a nation that was founded upon a covenant with God messes with a covenant such as the covenant of marriage, then God’s protection of that nation begins to diminish. This is why you see our nation no longer the strongest in the world, no longer the most economic, no longer as prosperous as other leading nations. Not that we are better because we are Americans (because God created all peoples, ethnicities, and tongues), but we are the only nation on earth that entered into a covenant with God in our founding, and Israel is the only nation on the earth that God made a covenant with.

Marriage is a covenant relationship. A man cannot enter into a marriage covenant with another man, nor can 2 women do it. Any covenant always has a form of shedding of blood to cut the covenant and seal it. For example, the covenant of circumcision was wrought by the cutting off of the male foreskin, blood was involved. The killing of lambs to cover the sins of the Israelites was signified by the shedding of blood. The new covenant we are under was wrought by the shedding of Christ’s blood on the cross for us! The covenant of marriage is happens when on a couple’s wedding night, the husband and wife have sexual intercourse and the wife sheds blood because of it, that signifies a consummation of the covenant of marriage! This is not possible with homosexual couples, therefore, there is no marriage between two people of the same sex. It’s that simple. This is also why couples should not live together before they’re married and have sex before they are married, because sex is an action designed for consummation of a covenant relationship only! How beautiful God designed sex to be, and it is only truly sex when it is between one man and one woman who are married. God made it to be amazing!!

Remember, there is no such thing as a homosexual identity, because if you put two men together, one becomes more masculine and dominant, and the other more feminine. Same with two women, if you put them together, one becomes more dominant and the other more submissive. This proves that a man and a woman are supposed to be together because their gender roles fit right! Heterosexual identity fits naturally and is the only marriage identity. In this world of over-the-top feminism and obfuscating gender roles, we need to turn back to the Bible to see how God designed marriage. Read Ephesians 5. While yes, wives need to submit to their husbands, husbands are to love their wives as Christ died for the Church! In that statement, there is a spiritual reality compared to the natural reality counterpart. Marriage on earth is a husband and wife team. Marriage in heaven is a husband and wife team wherein Christ is the husband and the Chruch is His Bride!

Also, God is generational. Homosexual couples cannot pass anything on because they cannot produce. God wants His mercies to bet passed down for one-thousand generations, and a man and a woman can pass this down. Children need a mom AND a dad, anything else is not a biblical family unit. The LDS Church does a great job as far as standing up for marriage, but they have usually just used the argument that the eternal family has to be comprised of a man and a woman simply because they will have spirit children into the eternities. While yes, one man plus one woman can be defended based on the fact that only they can procreate, it goes way, way deeper than just procreation. Where the LDS Church misses the mark is where they say that if a person is a homosexual by their orientation, that is okay, just as long as they don’t act on it. This is very diluted because the concept of sexual orientation is a modern invention. One is not born homosexual, nor are there homosexual genes. Why would God create someone to be a homosexual only to have declared in His Word for them not to have relations? God says homosexual acts are detestable before Him! Homosexuality is an offense to the image of God. I don’t use the word gay because there is nothing gay about homosexuality. Gay means happy, and I have never met or known any genuinely joyful homosexuals. Plus, if homosexuality was of the Lord, then why didn’t the practice originate from out of His people or the Church instead of through society? Some apostate churches are accepting this lifestyle, but it is something that has crept into the church, not that has gone out from the church.  Everything that comes from the Spirit will flow into the church, and those churches who have succumb to allowing homosexuals to practice their lifestyle are grieving the Holy Spirit and really restraining the power of God to deliver and heal. We need to start calling it what it is, homosexuality. The homosexual agenda uses “LGBT” or “pride” or “Gay” or “Same-Sex” or “Same Love” or “Marriage Equality” which are watered down words that try to rename homosexuality. In the news, the public opinion sees those who stand against homosexuality as equal to the Westboro Baptist congregation’s picketing and ridiculousness. This is none of that. They are taking the truth that it is wrong and telling it in a hateful way. We need to tell people the truth in love, but not compromising the Truth itself.

What Davis, the Kentucky clerk who refused to authorize marriage licenses, did was the right thing. You see, good is now considered evil, and evil is considered good. Isaiah 5:20 says, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Our nation made a law out of lawlessness, and this in turn will be a sign that the homosexual agenda has not yet gotten what it wants, even though same-sex marriage is now legal. What they want is not just to be considered equal with heterosexual couples, but they want everyone to see them as normal and for everyone else in society to accept their views. This is why evil is never satisfied. If something is evil, it is never satisfied. All homosexuality is is a perverse action that is brought about by evil spirits and principalities in the atmosphere above us that tempt mankind. This is the same with other sins like idolatry and so forth. In some cases, you have read the news, people have been silenced, lost their jobs, and have been jailed for speaking up to the truth about what marriage really is. If you are someone who grew up in Church but no longer go, and think that its okay to just live life however you want to live it, you’re going to need to wake up sooner than later to realize that we need to pick what side were on now and serve the Lord, because the days are getting shorter. This does not mean we need to live in fear, this means we need to promote the joy that is in us, which is Christ Jesus!

We must never forget that we are a nation under God and that our Christian founding was the foundation this country was founded upon. By straying from that, no wonder you turn on the television and see the kind of news you see happening to this country.

God makes a  promise that we need to really pay attention to in 2 Chronicles 7:14:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

We need to pray for our nation, but not only that, we need to first recognize that we are a people called by His name. Second, we must humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and then TURN from our wicked ways. THEN… Notice how it says, THEN God will hear us and forgive our sins. So often we want rewards without repentance, but this cannot happen. Blessing and favor come out of obedience. Obedience flows from walking in His grace. Repentance means to turn around. Not just to say you’re sorry, but to turn around and turn back to God. Homosexuals who think they are married want the blessing but they are not being obedient, therefore there is no blessing in their household situation.

On November 4, 2008, our current president said the following:

It’s been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America.

Yet we do not need that change. Change, as Perry Stone and Bill Cloud point out in their book, America’s Controversy with God’s Covenant, (I strongly recommend purchasing and reading this book!) “…as man defines it, is synonymous with evolutionary thinking. We want change, so we can evolve into something better, or so we think.” (p. 71) In the Bible however, we are told by God Himself, “For I am the LORD, I do not change.” (Malachi 3:6) In Hebrews 13:8, it says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” God always calls His people to RETURN to rediscover “the ancient paths that lead to God and His Word.” (p.72) See Isaiah 44:21-22 and Jeremiah 3:12.

Pray for people who are struggling with homosexuality. Also, pray for people who are in any kind of addiction, whether it is lust of the eyes or flesh, pornography, indecent acts between close family members, pedophilia, bestiality, and any other acts that are an offense to the image of God. I have known people that have done things in these areas in the past but who have been set free by God and are new creations! No sexual sin is beyond God’s grace that He cannot forgive, and if He set YOU free, then He can set others free as well!

I don’t believe homosexuals were born that way, but if they say are, then i’ll say, “Well, Jesus teaches us that we must be born again in order to inherit everlasting life! All of us have to be born again anyway! Why not let it be now? In the days we are living in in this world, why not start to follow Christ right now?

As Jesus says in Matthew 11:28 (NIV), “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

LDS Heresy: God Exists for the Glory of Man

Brigham Young once taught that “man is the king of kings and lord of lords in embryo.” (Brigham Young, April and May 1863, Journal of Discourses 10:223) Contrary to this false prophet, according to the Bible, Jesus, and Jesus Christ alone is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Revelation 17:14)

Mormon prophet John Taylor taught that man “is a God in embryo, and possesses within him a spark of that eternal flame which was struck from the blaze of God’s eternal fire in the eternal world…” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: John Taylor, p. 2)

John Henry Evans, a 19th century Mormon writer and educator, wrote the following blasphemous statement:

In Mormonism man is the center. Everything converges in him. All spiritual forces of the universe find a focus in him, with a view to his development. The earth was created for his benefit. It is to be his permanent home, his heaven of the hereafter. Also man is, literally and not figuratively, the child of God, and as such inherits nature and potentialities of his Parents of the spirit, God, therefore, is watchfully anxious for the welfare of his child–more than any earthly parent could be. In a sense God exists for the glory of man, not man for the glory of God, as in the age-old Christian dogma.” (John Henry Evans, Joseph Smith an American Prophet, p. 226)

Evans has it backwards. In truth, man exists for the glory of God. Everything converges in God. All spiritual forces of the universe find focus in Him… God!

Joseph Fielding Smith, a Mormon prophet, taught: “Man is eternal; …he has always existed, and that all life on this earth came from elsewhere…” (Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation 1:74)

This is dangerous ground, for God is the only one who has always been eternal. Man is a created being. From dust man came, and to dust man shall return. (see Genesis 2:7)

Woe unto those who give glory to man, such as in LDS hymnal, “Praise to the Man,” giving honor to Joseph Smith. There is no other name by which man may be saved other than the name of Jesus Christ. Look around you in the world today, did God really come into existence for the glory of man, or has God always been in existence and created man for His own glory? Yes, the latter. Let us not forget who the Sovereign Judge over the whole universe is. He loves us, and we must not only love Him, but fear Him. If man was more important or central to be glorified rather than God, then men should fear men, but this is not the case. Men should fear God, as scripture states in Matthew 10:28 (NIV):

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

As the Christian metal band For Today sings in its lyrics to the song “Foundation”:

I have built my life on the rock of my salvation, and I will not be moved from my firm foundation.
I will not be moved from my firm foundation. I will stand on the Word of my God, with everything.
I’m not ashamed to say I will stand.
The sword of Truth in my hand is conquering every demon’s stronghold.

So I will not let you go.
I will not let you go. I will not let you go.
Through these trials, I will stand.

The Bible really does stand. We can trust in every single thing that the Bible teaches. It’s time to not wade in the gray areas anymore, because in this day and age, we need to stand up for the Truth. Jesus is coming back soon, it is the eleventh hour, and we need to get right with God! Praise the Lord that we are still in the dispensation of grace, and He has allowed us to choose. We have such a gift of choice, but what will we do with that gift? We need to honor the Lord with choosing Him to be our Lord and Savior. Remember, He becomes your Savior first, because He first saves you, and then secondly, the Lord of your life because we’ve allowed Him to be Lord over our lives.

All praise, glory, worship, and honor be to Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God!
